Patriotism: Through the celebration of Independence Day, Republic Day etc.; through talks, seminars and others and also through direct classroom contacts the college tries to instill the sense of patriotism and nationhood in the mind of the students. Cultural Diversity and Inclusion: Cultural diversity is celebrated in the form of cultural programmes representing the cultural richness of the various places and ethnic groups from which our students hail. The college respects and appreciates differences in socio-economic background, education, ethnicity, colour, gender, age, caste, race, religion, physical abilities etc. The college has built up an environment where everyone has equal opportunity to contribute ideas. Soft Skills and Life Skills: Skill development programmes, communication and personality development programmes, motivational talks etc. give our students exposure and opportunities to acquire and polish up the required skills. Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: Students are encouraged to nurture critical thinking and problem solving capabilities. They are involved in activities like inter-college competitions, quizzes, debates, elocutions etc. which hone critical thinking and problem solving capacities. Quest for Excellence: The students are motivated to achieve excellence and occasionally rewarded for such achievements in curricular and extra-curricular fields. Physical and Emotional Health: The college has up to date sports facilities including a big playground, two badminton courts, and gymnasia. Many students compete at University, District, State and National levels. Extra coaching is provided for deserving students. Yoga is promoted. Health awareness lectures and drives are conducted. The college conducts academic and personal counseling to take care of the emotional well-being of the students. Leadership qualities and Teamwork: Students are encouraged to take up activities which may hone their leadership qualities. They conduct various fests, cultural programmes, and the students’ union members manage finances also. They also learn to work in a team as any event is managed by effective teamwork. They are taught that team values allow them to perform their roles effectively and thus to contribute to the progress of the college and the nation.
